Karoline Leavitt has faced online ridicule from social media fans after claiming her boss, Donald Trump, is the “best-read person” she knows during a Turning Point USA speech
Karoline Leavitt found herself at the center of online mockery after declaring that her boss, President Donald Trump, is the “best-read person” she knows.
The 28-year-old White House press secretary made the statement at a Turning Point USA gathering at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, appearing alongside Erika Kirk, the widow of the organization’s late founder, Charlie Kirk.
“You always want to be the most well-read person in the room, and I try to be every day. But Donald Trump always is,” Leavitt remarked, instantly capturing social media’s attention. Users wasted no time responding to the press secretary’s public declaration.
The moment arrives as Trump raised health concerns with contradictory statements regarding Iran war commentary.

One user wrote, “Maybe she has dementia too,” while another chimed in, “Even in a normal interview, she’s over there lying. Fascinating.”
Others unleashed more biting criticism, with one person stating, “You better lick the boots of Donald Trump as hard as you can, Karoline. Pam Bondi is already gone, and he wants to fire the next woman he sees, which is going to be Tulsi Gabbard or you.”
At the same event, the expectant mother also revealed that her role under Trump results in very little rest. She shared with Erika, “I have a tendency not to sleep as well in this job because there’s just so much going on all the time. Breaking news.
“You never know what you’re going to get when you wake up. She disclosed that she keeps “all of the fake news media apps” on her phone, and regularly browses the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post into the wee hours of the morning.
She explained, “I’ll make the mistake of being awake at 3 a.m. and reading through some of the stories. And my brain’s going … My adrenaline’s going.”

“And my team knows, I see my assistant in the front row, she’s smirking because they’ll wake up to the group chat and I send texts between the hours of like, 2 and 4 a.m. every night.”
Karoline went on, “And I’m like, ‘We need to call this reporter in the morning. This is not true. We need to correct this. Put this statement in this story.’ So, it’s just constant. It’s a 24/7 news cycle we live in.”
Karoline also revealed that President Trump doesn’t shy away from reaching out at odd hours. She noted, “My boss is up all night and probably gonna call at any hour. [He sleeps] very little. Like, maybe four hours a night.”
She added, “I’m a third his age and I can’t keep up. I tell him that all the time.”
